2018 ASEAN-KOREA Announces Short Film Competition

Films Running From 5 to 8 Minutes on the Theme of ASEAN: The Future We Foresee
The ASEAN-Korea Centre calls for short films from young ASEAN and Korean filmmakers. The ASEAN-Korea Centre has announced the opening of the 2018 ASEAN-Korea Youth Short Film Competition, in cooperation with the ASEAN Youth Network in Korea (AYNK). Film submitted must be from five to eight minutes long and based on the theme ‘ASEAN: The Future We Foresee’.
All films must be in the English language or have English subtitles. Films made before November 2017 will not be accepted. The films must be set in a country member of the ASEAN or Korea and must be appropriate for all ages. Any youth under the age of 35 may apply. Entrants are requested to fill out the application and consent forms (available at https://www.aseankorea.org/eng/) and send them, along with Youtube or Vimeo link and the film poster in JPG or PDF, to email@example.com.
The submission period runs from August 6th to October 6th. The Grand Prix winner will receive either a cash prize of USD 2,000 or a trip to the country of the ASEAN organization or Korea including accommodation. Winners of the Gold and Silver Awards will win USD 1,500 and USD 1,000, respectively, while the two entries that will win the Bronze Film Awards will each be given USD 700. Additionally, the winner of the People’s Choice Award will be awarded USD 500. All prize-winning films will be screened during the 2018 ASEAN-Korea Youth Short Film Festival on December 1st in Seoul.
