The Busan Asian Film School (AFiS) is looking for trainees for its producing course. The Busan Film Commission (BFC) which is operating AFiS will be accepting applications to “recruit for trainees” for the International Film Business Academy’s 2018 producing course from September 1st to 15th, 2017.

Targeted at training Asia’s next generation of prominent film producers, the course will begin classes in March 2018, running two semesters for three months each, for six months in total. The program’s curriculum includes a film industry seminar, classes on film law and policy, a project development workshop, topics in film production, and courses on film marketing and distribution. “The course allows attendees to reinforce their ability as producers, to develop their own projects and to foster international joint film productions.” the BFC said.

To be eligible for submission, candidates must have a U.N. defined “Asian” nationality and must be fluent in English regardless of their academic background or age. Applicants are required to send related forms by postal mail after applying online on AFiS’ website (www.afis.ac). Final candidates will be selected through online interviews and evaluation of portfolios and project proposals. The final announcement of admission decisions will be made on November 8th (Wed.).
