New Korean timeslip thriller A Day has scored a slew of deals for its international distributor Finecut after its theatrical release in Korea, where it topped the charts on opening day. The film has begun to receive international invitations, including to the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival.

The directorial debut of JO Seon-ho, A Day features Deranged (2012) star KIM Myung-min as a doctor and father who is forced to relive a car crash that takes the life of his daughter over and over again. The film co-stars BYUN Yo-han (Will You Be There?, 2016) as a paramedic in a similar predicament.

The film scored several deals during the Cannes Film Market last month. It was picked up by BlueMedia Times (China), Klockworx (Japan), GSC Movies Sdn BHD (Malaysia & Brunei), Viva Communications (Philippines), mm2 ENTERTAINMENT (Singapore), Long Shong International (Taiwan), Vietnam Media Corp. / BHD (Vietnam), Fenix Distribuidora de Filmes (Brazil) and Vitality International, which scooped up the Inflight rights.

The fantasy thriller bowed on June 15th in Korea, where it topped the charts with 78,000 admissions (USD 515,000). The film, which was produced by Line Film, is being distributed by CGV ARTHOUSE locally.

A Day has also landed an invitation to the prestigious Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, which this year will celebrate its 50th edition.
