THE PRIESTS Gets Mobile Game

The First Collaboration with Korean Film and Mobile AR Game
 

Exorcism thriller The Priests (2015), which was released in November 2015 and brought 5.54 million viewers, was made into a mobile game. Syobe Creative (CEO KIM Sung-mi) announced that they have released The Priests: Exorcist, augmented reality game based on the film’s IP on App Store and Google Play store. 

The Priests: Exorcist is a mobile adventure game. Players can look for evil spirits and psychic photos through exorcising camera with AR technology and can build their characters to collect figure cards on the RPG growing system. Competitions among users with match mode or ranking mode can be possible. Characters of the films including Father KIM (KIM Yun-seok) and his seminarian CHOI (GANG Dong-won) are in the game. Moreover, players are able to enjoy new stories which were not in the film and to choose various processes and endings. 

The Priests: Exorcist has gained over 100,000 pre-registrations so there were positive responses even before its releasing. The company plans to provide global services at the same time with Korea. English and Japanese will be available in sequence. Meanwhile, The Priests is about two Catholic priests who perform exorcism rituals to save a possessed girl. It is the first time that a Korean film was made into the mobile AR game.
