To Compete with THE GOOD DINOSAUR and REMEMBER YOU
You Gotta Catch Them (translated title) is now booked to be released on January 7th next year, featuring KIM Seung-woo of Woman On The Beach (2006), KIM Jung-tae of Mourning Grave (2014), and Hyuk (a.k.a. HAN Sang-hyuk) of a boy-band VIXX.
It is an action comedy where Ssang-kal (KIM Seung-woo), a CEO and ex-gangster, and Jung-taek (KIM Jung-tae), a homicide detective, chase 4 juvenile hoodlums. KIM Seung-woo has been manifesting a wide range of acting ability from serious to comic in diverse films and TV dramas including Woman On The Beach by HONG Sang-soo, and 71-Into The Fire (2010), and KIM Jung-tae has been playing distinctive roles in a variety of films including Mourning Grave and Salut d’Amour (2015). These two form a duo team and play one of the main axes of the film.
The opponent group of this rocky KIM-KIM duo is the “handsome quartet” consisting of Hyuk from VIXX, a popular boy-band, and rookie actors SHIN Kang-woo, KIM Min-kyu and MUN Yong-seok. These four boys are chased by the two middle aged men, desperately trying to retrieve “something very important,” which is the focus of this film. In addition, it is the acting debut of Hyuk, which greatly attracts his fans’ attention.
The director is OH In-chun. His previous filmography mostly consists of horror pieces including 12 Deep Red Nights (2015), and Mourning Grave (2014), and this is his first time with action comedy. It is also the first comedy for the distributor OPUS Pictures, which has previously produced The Man From Nowhere (2010) and Snowpiercer (2013).
