Independent directing duo KIM Gok and KIM Sun are in production on their first commercial project, a horror movie titled “White.”  The twin brothers have established themselves at the avant-garde of Korean independent art cinema. Their previous collaboration <Anti-Gas Skin> (2010) was screened in the 67th Venice Int’l Film Festival while KIM Gok’s <Exhausted> (2008) won the Grand Prize at the Seoul Independent Film Festival.

Teaming again with actor-turned-producer CHOI Doo-young (<Anti-Gas Skin>, <Paradise Murdered>, <Grain in Ear>) the brothers’ new feature sets its tale of horror in the Korean pop music industry.  When struggling girl group Pink Dolls come across an old videotape of an untitled but haunting music video, they decide to record the song.  Calling it ‘White’ the single quickly becomes a hit, launching them to fame, but with unexpected side effects.  A series of suspicious incidents lead the band to believe the music is cursed…

Starring actresses HWANG Woo-seul-hye, Maydoni, CHOI Ah-ra, HAM Eun-jeong, and JIN Se-yeon as the girl group members, the film is currently in production, with distributor CJ Entertainment expected to release the film in late summer, 2011.
