Born in 1971, KIM Young-sun fell in love with theater after watching a production of <Cinderella> when she was in middle school. She joined a youth company and even wrote her own play, but once she entered high school, her parents asked her to focus on her studies alone and so she had no choice but to abandon her acting activities. She took a job at a bank to support her family struck with money problems and met there her husband. After her marriage in 1992, she looked after her family, until the mid-2000s when she felt the urge to return to acting. She joined a company and made her film debut not long after in the action movie <Hanbando> (2006). Today, she is best known for her role as the wife of CHOI Min-shik’s corrupted lawyer in <Nameless Gangster : Rules of the Time> (2011), but she could also be seen in the <The Piper> (2014), the military-set indie drama <The Seeds of Violence> (2017) and the action film <Psychokinesis> (2017) from YEON Sang-ho.
