This film poses questions about gestures as a form of commentary on the landscape of a village. This village, which has 100 years of history, is the first settlement from the western gate of the fortress wall around Hanyang, and as such it holds a wealth of memory of early modern and modern Seoul. It has been transformed into a cultural space through urban regeneration projects, hosting a variety of workshops and exhibitions. Centering around the main gate, which holds only clues of what remains from the past, the village itself allows one to pass through, and guess what the real appearance of Donimun Museum Village might have been. What was the ‘village’ in Donimun Museum Village? What do we call this village? What did the real village look like? In a village where there is no life, SEON Yeon-seon and Yun Ha are there.
