Once been a foundational basis for industrial development of South Korea for the past 70 years, Euljiro neighborhood surrounding Cheonggyecheon has become a modern mecca of manufacturing. Recently, however, such area has been gradually fading out, lost into the history, due to 'gentrification'. And along with its gradual disappearance, approximately 40,000 laborers and their 200,000 family members, whom they are responsible for, have been forced out on to the streets.
