Yeonhee has a young daughter who needs a heart transplant. She has been desperate because it has been difficult to find a donor for her. Then one day, she learns that an unconscious middle-aged woman(Ahn Sookhee) who came in through the emergency room has the same tissue type as her daughter.
Huido gets a call that his mother, who he is in a love-and-hate relationship with, has collapsed and was sent to the emergency room. When Huido arrives at the hospital, Yeonhee succeeds in getting him to sign a contract for heart donation. However, Huido changes his mind at a crucial moment and learns that his mother can live if she receives a liver transplant. Naturally, he thinks of Ye-eun, Yeonhee’s daughter.
Yeonhee calls some organ traffickers and goes to pick up Huido and Sookhee. However, the moment that she gets out of the hospital with Sookhee, Huido kidnaps Ye-eun and runs away.
Ye-eun is with Huido, and Sookhee with Yeonhee. Eventually, Ye-eun collapses from chest pain and there is no longer any time to waste. Yeonhee is the first to announce defeat. She accepts Huido’s suggestion to pretend none of this ever happened.
However, Yeonhee discovers Huido’s hiding place. The woman who is beating him bloody is no longer the person she used to be. She rushes to the hospital run by organ traffickers with Ye-eun and Sookhee in tow.
Wounded all over, Huido runs in search of his mother. But eventually, his mother passes away, and he stands in front of Yeonhee again. He tells her to go ahead with the transplant. This was Sookhee’s wish. At Huido’s words, Yeonhee collapses, sobbing.
